New 3D scanning device for our customer~

Dear customer, kindly noted that HonYu has lately purchased a handy 3D scanner forthe convenience of project development. information below shows the scanner's versatility: ITS APPLICATION CAN BE ILLUSTRATED IN THE "FACILITY" SECTION. The ZScanner is a handheld laser scanner with a virtually unlimited array of possible uses. This self-positioning scanner is flexible, free-standing, and easy to carry. Flexibility Traditional laser scanners mounted on arms or bulky CMMs and white light scanner technologies are referenced in relation to the structure supporting them. Therefore, the part being scanned has to be fixed as well.

Fortunately for many users worldwide, this is not the case with the free-standing ZScanner. Versatility in Confined Places The self-positioning ZScanner offers many possibilities not available with other scanners. With traditional scanners, many design specialists find it hard to perform scans in tight, confined spaces. Also, for car manufacturers, there is a high risk of losing accuracy when getting in and out of a car to collect data. Moreover, with traditional scanners, if an engineer bumps the part being scanned or the tripod supporting the scanner, the relation between the scanner and the part will change, thereby forcing the user to restart the scan. This is not an issue with the ZScanner given its self-positioning and portability features. No Part Size Limit for Best Results Another great benefit of the handheld ZScanner is that there is virtually no limit to the size of parts that can be scanned. As a result, an automobile dashboard can be captured in one single scan session.

This saves on computing resources and eliminates the need to search for the best fit of multiple scans, thereby improving accuracy. Scanning Parts of Any Color One thing all engineers strive for is good data and efficient scans, even if some of the parts being scanned are pastel, dark or silver.

Because dark colors absorb light, it is often difficult for a laser scanning system to see the laser trace or beam used to capture the shape. This is no problem for the ZScanner because the handheld scanners light intensity and exposure time parameters are adjustable and can be optimized prior to or during the scanning session.
